Attention all Hands this is Lt Rockape.
Over the past few months my Security Teams have been running training sessions on the Holodecks. These training sessions have proved extremely useful and have improved skills and fitness levels considerably.
However, we are now at a stage where I believe we need to train with non security personnel. Therefore, I am looking for any personnel interested in taking part in security training on the holodeck.
Please post all answers and suggestions for training missions here.

Well, as we've seen from previous missions, unless the target is right in front of me, and as big as a barn door, I can just about hit it with a phaser. Some additional training could help.

As a general pointer, Lieutenant Rockape and myself made damn sure that there were ample security personell on every deck, more around sensitive areas. If we are boarded either on the Limburgia or here, Just run! security will be all over it, additional security personell will be awoken and given a phaser.

Indeed, Mr Robinson, before you transferred out we both worked on the Training Schedule for the Security Personnell. By the way it is working very well, you wouldn't even recognise the people now !!!

With the exception of Mr Kymes, it sounds as if no-one else is interested in training.
Mr Kymes, please feel free to contact any of My Team Leaders, and they will organise some extra weapons training for you. I shall inform the Team Leaders at the next weekly briefing. Please feel free to use as much of their time as you wish. If you have any questions/queries, please feel free to contact me directly.

Mr Kymes, I've been thinking (wondered what the pain in my head was !!) and unless you have any major objections. I thought I'd undertake your weapons training. It will be good for me to get back to some hands on training. I'm getting out of practise. What do you think?

Mr Salikar, your presence as always is welcome. Mr Tyler, nice to see you.
Now I have at least two students :) Ideally I would like a few more to make a better class. Therefore, in the mean time, please feel free to join any of my security teams in their training sessions. When I have enough student to run a full time course I will contact you with relevant Joining Instructions.
Mr Tyler, the cricket, I don't think so. My officers only use those when on Parade duties. However, if that is your weapon of choice :
, so be it.

Mr Tyler, you have just gained yourself some points. Good choice, I just hope you know how to handle that weapon properly. I have a team that trains every Wednesday afternoon on Holodeck 5. They work on 21 Century Military Patrol Techniques. If you feel up to it, you might want to join them for a session or two. I think they have a beginners course starting next month. Feel free to check with the training office and get more details.
Of course, if you just fancy some target practice all the holodecks are programmed with Rifle ranges for individual practice!!

Please feel free to join any of the training sessions currently being undertaken by my Security Teams.
I have stated earlier, that if I can get enough crew members interested then I will teach some lessons myself. It would appear we are getting close to a reasonable number. I think I currently have 5 or 6 volunteers. Ideally, I would prefer 8 or 12, so we can wait a while yet. However, if you feel you really need some training, I will be happy to help.

I forgot to mention. I believe Mr Robinson is working on some training/education manual in the Starfleet Academy training area onboard. It may be worth you having a look there and see if any of the documents are of use to you.

As a general rule, If your a novice, hold the phaser with one hand, don't try to be a hero now, the recoil can kick you a bit....
