This is the begining of the diary for ships' councellor Virginia McGovern, please feel free to read it but I'd prefer that no replies are made, if you wish to comment about something then feel free to contact me via subspace message......
Dear diary. Today has been a mixed day onboard ship, although I cannot go into details about my fellow crewmember's problems here, I do find a need to vent my own feelings in some way, being empathic does bring with it a burden of sorts - you find that the emotions of others will upset your own emotional balance every once in a while. Thus the question of 'Who councels the councellor' springs to mind.
Today I've seen crewmembers who have received sad news & crewmembers who have received good news, you may be surprised to hear that those who receive good news need councelling but on occasions they do as the good news has been a surprise for them, thus has confused them slightly.
The sad news has been an emotional drain for everyone who's involved.
Signing off.

Dear diary. Yesterday we had an encounter with a freight ship, the ship looked derelict, but as soon as Capt Stein hailed them it was clear that the ship was occupied, a group of refugees fleeing from a civil war on their planet had 'borrowed' (their terminology) the freighter in order to seek help, chief engineer Jones & his crew worked to fix their ship but other than escorting them to the nearest starbase to gather supplies & to seek help from other sources, we could do nothing to intervene in the war.

Dear diary, I'm happy to say that today no-one has required my services, it means the crew are content, although that may change over the next few days. The Captain has just finished speaking with the Captain of our flagship the USS Zodiac, as there have been reports that a ship of unknown origin has been seen in the Neutral zone. We, along with the other ships of the Zodiac class will be keeping a look-out for anything strange; we're hoping both our CMO Cmdr Marin Tarin & our Chief Councellor Lt Cmdr Aria Tarin -as they are both full Betazoids - will be able to sense the crew of this unknown ship even if they're cloaked or hidden by other means.

Today I was offered a position at Starbase 49, of Assistant Chief Councellor, I was honoured to be asked to fill this post & thus I gladly accepted. I will be sorry to leave the USS Gemini & her crew, but I'm sure that I will see them whenever they have need of a Starbase in this sector.

Dear Diary, I haven't been adding to my diary as often as I'd like due to my workload, although the continuing construction of SB49 is going well, the long hours are taking their toll on some of the officers & crew, and thus they feel the need to chat about their long days. Hopefully once the base is fully up & running there'll be some recreation time for those involved. ;D

Dear Diary. Today has been a wonderful day for me, for my work on the station I was promoted to 'crewman', although my work is reward enough for me, it is nice to know my work is appreciated by others. ;D

This is a little humorous entry, I'm mocking myself as I'm not a very good speller, in fact without my spellchecker, electronic dictionary or spelling book my writing would be full of errors.  ;)
I hope no one is offended by this, if you are then please let me know & I will remove the post. ÂÂ
