I think, there was an episode of Voyager: that took them to a place where the Borg had established a space settlement in the center of all the Borg conduits...

There is definately a borg homeworld or at least a point of origin, although it has not been displayed on any series as far as I know. Yes i think there was an episode of voyager like that but they were lots of cubes in close proximity to each other , not the homeworld.
Yes I looked at that one again and it is a starbase of sorts but not a home world... but if it takes transwarp to get there, the starbase could be the homeworld????
k, if it's only accesible how did the "planet" there in the first place? and how is that even possible? how is it possible to get somewhere only with 1 type of propulsion? if you can get there with some type of propulsion shouldn't u be able to get there with warp too?
Hi Matt, May I call you Matt? Voyager was stuck in the Delta Quadrent and they could not get back in there life time using warp drive but the borg has transwarp drive,(witch they probley invented or assimelated it) so you couldn't go to the borg homeworld with warp in our life time....
I remember hearing something about a reference to it in the first movie. When Spock melded with Voyager 6. He made mention of a world populated by machines. I remember going to a sci fi convention and hearing Leonard Nimoy talk about that a few years ago. I got the feeling he felt that could have been the Borg homeworld. I'm sure it was the inspiration for the Borg.
But of course I could be totally wrong. It's just my humble opinion.
I agree with Athena, and by the way did you get to meet Leonard Nimoy? and also I have, Borg and Voyager, and no one has put anything in, Whats up with that??
Unfortunately not. It was a blast to just sit and listen to his talk and hear him answer questions. Seems like a stellar guy.
I remember also when Q zapped the Enterprise to their first meeting with the Borg, thinking back to first ST movie. It all made kind of a weird, neat sense. LOL.
That was Q Who and when that came out I was numb all over, that is when I hated the Borg, but without them all thoughs episodes, star trek would not be the same!!
To me, my first reaction to them wasn't hatred. It was fear. I could actually see a race that Starfleet could lose to. To actually challenge Starfleet. Up till that point no enemy had been up to the challenge. Kirk and Picard had managed to defeat or outthink every enemy they had come up against.
But in that episode, watching the look on Picard's face when he had to admit that he needed Q because the Borg were overpowering his ship. That was what would be considered a once in a life time moment. Picard's fear and frustration were very palateble. It was scary.
Unfortunately for me if I were faced with something like the Borg, I don't think anger would appear. I'd be too scared and helpless to be angry. My mind tends to go blank when I'm scared. So I don't think I'd make it in Starfleet. Even though I was in the Navy and I did ok. But I didn't really go anywhere or see anything strange or frightening. LOL
I definitely agree. Up until that point you could see the enemy's weaknesses and see how Picard and Kirk could defeat them. I don't think the first time I saw the new Bird of Pray did I get nervous. I thought they were graceful looking.
But that Borg Cube. OMG. It was ominous and when you compared it to the size of the Enterprise. It was like David and Goliath. That was another tale that went through me head. And to actually see the Enterprise lose. It made you realize Picard wasn't infallible or the Enterprise invincible. The Borg did humble everyone. On screen and off. IMO.
I watched it again, I don't have it on tape, It was on TV I didn't catch the name, but the Borg Kidnap 7 of 9 and voyager goes to save her and they learn of the conduit, and break away and find there selves at what I would call the Borg home world,(knowing how they live, space is the only place for them) Not just Borg Qubes but Borg starbases, one hundred times the size of a qube. So watching that it seems to me, that is the Borg Homeworld!
Dark Frontier II looks pretty good from that video clip. I would have never of gueesed that Borg actually had a need for starbases. Them cubes are like starbases of their own.

no thats inpossible, a homeplanet is where a SPECIES originated and where they all came from, the borg arent a species so they can't have a homeworld

William Shatner wrote a book that explains the borg homeworld. It's called Star Trek the Return. V. Good, read it.

I think it's just one planet where the queen lives when she's not traveling. It's just my ideas. Maybe it could move by transwarp too. You never know
