Make a quantam drive?

HAs anyone thought of making a Quantam drive for the starships?

A Quantam Drive is like the wrap core but can take a starship 4 times the distance of a wrap core.

I think it would be a good ideal as it would help find new life

As such, warp doesnt work there,  Quantem Drives dont work here. Neither work in real life.

in a Voyger episode when they try to get closer to home they figure out how to make a quantaum dirve.

I think you are talking about the Quantum Slipstream Drive.

The Quantum Slipstream Drive was a device that was invented by a species, destroyed by the Borg.  The first appearence of the Quantum Slipstream Drive was in the episode (voyager)  "Hope and Fear". Seven Of Nine, and Captain Janeway where captives on a ship with the drive. Voyager experimented with the drive to resque them.
