yeah your right about the akira class being heavily armed but in the battle with the borg the soverigin class proved more ifluential to me

The soverign did nothing, it wasnt particuartlly influential, it was just there, it had firepower yes, but ships like the Constitiution were far more influential, and they did lay the groundwork for future expansion efforts.
And Deadalus is misspelt.

I agree with Ashley. The most influential ships had to be the earlier ones like NX, Daedalus and Constitution, paving the way forward in technology, exploration and defense of the early Federations territories and planetary surfaces.

so your saying that the soverign class was not influential you might need your head checked its because of the soverign class that earth was not assimulated by the borg and that the human race was not whiped out by shinzon and it also stopped the ba'ku were not relocated and they were also influential in the final part of the dominion war

if you got into a fight with a ship with 15 Photon Torpedo Tubes and phasers still would you survive if Starfleet replaced the Photons with Quantams the Scimitar would have been blasted to H#@L,The Akira was the one that weakend the Cube first and in this timeline it will be launched in about 1 month officialy akira Class Specs gives all the Details.

thats true photons have basicley become useless against the likes of the borg remans dominion and jem hador because they have improved there defences to handle them and thats why such classes of ships such as Galaxy and Nebula were once a huge threat but r now not because starfleet would replace photons with quantums thats why the soverign akira and defient class's are relyed on so much because there the only class of ships with quantum torpedos

That is Why in My WEbsite i Replaced them all with Quantams and Plasma and Transphasics Bye bye Borg I Mean in First Contact The "E" Destroyed a Borg Sphere with just 4 Quantam Torpedos can you imagine 15 of them being fired at you at once that would wipe out just about anyou ship you can imagine save the 1842 Bioships Exc...

the Galaxy was just a Luxury liner with guns, the NX was amazing, it found a way through anything, it beat anyone. Hey, thats what you get when you put an englishman at tactical!

The akira is a Warship... the first ship designd for just that... while maintaing some degree of diplomatic availability. and the akira class has suffered some but so has any class [plot deviced do not count]

no maybe not.. but the StarTrek Mag. has said so.. but even by ST: First Contact we could tell she would put up one hell of a fight...
But she was on the Front lines in both the dominion war, and the Battle of Sector 001 indicating she was designed for war also the sheer number of torpedo tubes..
I however may be biased because i love the ship... beautiful ship...

Furthermore, the Mags arnt written by the scriptwriters, so it could be said that its not nessesarily canon. Furthermore, In First contact, we only saw the one torpedo tube...

The Soverign Class was only in the Movies, as far as TNG episodes go the Galaxy Class was IT. And all in all, each seiries had there own Best Ship........ :P
