Favourite Character

I've changed my mind, my favorite character had to be Nog.  I like all Ferengi in general, but he was a more adventurous one.

This is going to sound weird I know, but I think my favourite characters were Quark and Odo. Their interaction was just fantastic. But I did like when Worf came on. It brought something to the show that had been missing.

However, I did like all the characters for various reasons.

For some reason my favorite characters are always the ones that bring the humor. So McCoy, Data, Q (Yeah!), Quark and the EMH populate my top list.

I think by favorite character would be wither Nog or Dax. Both of them were pretty good.

Speaking of one of my favourite Characters, Rene Auberjonois is on Boston Legal tonight. I might check it out. It'll be the first time I've seen him without makeup in a while. LOL

When was the last time someone has actually heard from him? Anyway, I'm going to have to catch that tonight, even though I have no clue what time.

I'm sorry, I should have put the time. It was 10pm. I was bouncing between that and Crossing Jordan last night. Haven't played the channel dance in a while. LOL

haha, lol. It's a shame that the only Star Trek show I'm able to see is TOS like at 3 in the morning. I can't belive that they got rid of TNS and VOY.

Well, the only way I see DS9 is renting the DVDs. It's on on the weekends I think but I always miss it.

So do I, they are on to late for me... So is Voyager. On to late that is.

I normally catch DS9 around noon, they have two episodes on at that time.  :P

Voyager in on 8pm during the week on a local channel, but the others aren't on for me to watch anymore. Oh well. I'm currently renting DS9 from Netflix and enjoying just about every ep so far.

Netflix what is that?

It's a DVD rental service. You access it over the internet. They deliver the DVDs right to your door. You get charged a monthly fee and get a certain amount of DVD's at one time, but as soon as they recieve 1 or more of them back, they send you another of your selections.

It's nice. No late fees. Can keep the movie as long as I want. And the best part, I don't waste gas taking it back. I just drop it in my mailbox and it gets back usually in 24-48hrs. I really like it.

My Favorite would probably have to be Quark because he's always looking for a deal, and dukat because he makes himself look like an a$$ and normally ends up just laughing about it.  :P

You are exactly right. Quark is awesome and so is Dukat, but I still like Rom. He owns all of them. LOL

The chemistry between Quark and Odo was cool to me. They fought all the time, but you could tell that they respected and actually liked each other. albeit grudgingly. LOLOLOL

HAHA, yup. Athena I have a feeling you know what your talking about when it comes to DS9 and TNG. I think I'll start to call you professor or doctor, LOL.

well, for me, I unfortunatly live without cable or a DVD player, so that means almost no Trek for me...

As far as favorite DS9 charecter, that is a tough one for me, I really like pretty much all the charecters in one way or another. But my favorites would have to be 1) Garak, because he's got so many great lines, cracks me up alot, plus there's so much more to him then meets the eye 2) Dukat, though he's done so many rotten, rotten things I can never quite make myself believe he's all bad... 3) Major Kira because well....in many ways her attitude reminds me of....me....LOL

The characters on DS9 were great. I attribute that to the actors more than the writing.

Maj. Kira was one of my favorites also.

She was really cool. Tough and hard as nails. That explains why Odo fell in love with her. She was definitely different from other women.

She reminds me of G.I. Jane, how she was the meanest thing anyone's seen type woman.

Yeah. But her background made it she had to be. But she wasn't overly butch. You could still see her sensitive, feminine side once in a while. Nana Visitor did strike a good balance with that char eventually. Didn't like her the first season too much. But that's normal. Even Bashir irritated me that first season. The actors are still feeling the characters out and getting them to fit and making them their own.

First seasons are bad. You can always tell they're working from a script and in later seasons it seems like that they are naturally saying them like it was actually coming from them even though they were working from a script.

Yeah, that's because they have made the chars their own. And in later seasons you can't imagine anyone else in those chars.

Personally I hated the fact that Terry left she was the only one who should have played Dax after so long.  They should have just gotten a new character not transfer to a new TRILL.  It didn't work for me especially with Worf having been in love with her.

My Faves were Bashir, Odo, and Worf in that order.

Ha Ha Ha Kent! Very Funny. I didnt like it that much because it was centered around one station and you saw the same aliens over and over. I liked VOY because something new always happened.

DS9 was the breakthrough series. SO what if they didn't explore that much. Would you, if you had a station to keep from falling apart, and a planet to keep safe. During the Dominion War, I didn't exactly see anyone burst out and complain about not exploring. Or before, for that matter.

Hmmm, DS9 probably has the most characters that I like in one series.  But if I must choose, Jadzia Dax and Sisko were great.

I also liked Quark. 'Profit and Lace" was my favorite Quark episode.
