Wow, no one responded. *Twilight Zone theme song, and monologue* No! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[quote author=Athena Zoden link=1101062795/90#90 date=1117671648]I really liked the final ep of Enterprise. It was very well done. The char I hated is still T'Pol and the senseless death of Trip was a bit much but hey, nothing is perfect. In the end the show had a bangup wonderful final season. Just wish it could have happened sooner rather than later but at least it went out with a roar instead of a whimper.
It went out on a crutch and a boot up it's...you get the picture. After B&B realized that ENT was going down the drain, they blamed TNG for it's demise, saying that nothing could equal the predecessors successful run.
I haven't seen it..HAH! :D...yet..hah :D
Lackluster delivery, Nick.
Please, its Nic, NIC

Okay Kent. I will try.
The final episode had some qualities that were okay and some that weren't.  Overall, I didn't like how Enterprise's problem took second seat to Riker's.  I also didn't like how we didn't get to hear the speech at the end.  I mean, c'mon, Riker & Troi said they had to recite it in school, they might as well have said it along with Archer or let Archer say the speech by himself.
But a redeeming thing about it was the end.  I loved when all the Enterprise's went by and you heard the different Captain's say their parts.  Very good.  That was the main reason my dad kept the episode on his TiVo, when I would go over, he was playing the very last part.
Oh, and I read in TV Guide that some of the actors didn't like the final episode becuase of the first reason I said.  Hmmm...
I still cant believe they axed it in the first place. Granted it kinda messed up the timeline but still, a few more answers wouldve been nice
As I've said before, when a show hits it's stride it always gets axed. Just seems to be the nature of the beast. I really liked the show. Yes I missed some eps, but the ones I did see were very well written and acted of course there were a few that weren't so great, but that's normal for any show.
I do wish it was still on, I loved seeing the actual "first generation" of the star trek timeline.
ah, poor enterprise. "we barely knew her."
("but, there are still plenty of letters left in the alphabet")
(sorry, i just had to finish the quote! :D )
i agree it lost its touch during all that stuff with the Xindi
[quote author=Patar89 link=1101062795/0#3 date=1101487621]I agree with you to the wholest exent. Myself, I loved ST: ENT from the beginning, but as time moved on, the show never caught my attention to keep me watching it like any of the other shows. I tihnk it lost it's magic touch.
The problem with NX-01 Enterprise. It never did setttle the questions trekkies wanted to know for 30 years. It just put in new species nobody ever care or wanted to know.
Yes the problems with the Vulcans, but the show made humans way to passive. With the other star trek tv shows, it is very much the humans going out and dealing with major problems. Granted, there are more humans on the tv show than other federation members that are non-human. In the case with NX-01 Enterprise, it did make the humans take a back seat to almost everything.
Even the ship NX-01 Enterprise was a weak and easy target to lose almost every battle. If it was not for the kindness of the enemy we would have been destroyed during the first season. It is hard for a trekkie to accept a ship that cannot win. Even the Vulcans had to help us out a number of times.
Even Captan ARcher gave the show problems. Talking how bad the humans are to the Vulcans never made it better. Having Archer not able to win a fist fight. That guy can get beaten up over and over again. With that one show when Archer was beaten up over and over again, than ask for more. He is kinda like that battered wife or girl friend that never will leave her man.
Well not I look at it, it must be the first show that ws the best. As they had more and more it just got worse and worse. If they only stay with the dreams of the trekkies, it would have worked. But nooooo they had to go and fight the people of the spears that nobody in star trek history every new or wanted to know.
i agree it lost its touch during all that stuff with the Xindi
yer, it lost the explorers touch. and no matter how much Season 4 tried to pull back, it was too late
The Xindi was the problem. Since TOS went off the air. Trekkies was asking what was the federation like before Kirk and company. Who in the heck are the Xindi anyone would ask before Enterprize.
If it was the Klingons, or anyone else knows about there would not be a problem. Would even like to see shows of the other people that became part of the federation. What would Bajour would be like during the 21st century? What if Enterprise bumped into one of the early Dax's, that would be fun to see. But nooo we had to do it different. And the trekkies just turned off the tv.
i think hes off b one i think theres 299,999,998 roumers atleast thats all iv heard wait i just heard bout that TOS spinnoff so thats right 299,999,999.99999(one roumer that never got fully started )
the viewers wanted something new, and they got it, there was nothing really that was recycled from any of the other series.(and please no smart-ass comments on "but there were klingons") Enterprise was different. and theres a price you pay in the end, weather its what the viewers want or not
some shows the final seson is very sapy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was Kinda Sappy, but kinda interesting- I only got to see a few eps so i dont know the full extent of it
I really enjoyed "These are the Voyages" too, I saw it in California at a party hosted by Eugene "Rod" Roddenberry, it was quite an experience.
I know a lot of people didn't like the finalie but personally I saw it as a great end. What some people don't seem to understand is this is more then just the finalie of Enterprise, but the Finalie of an era of 18 years ST on Television every week, and I saw it as very fitting to end it with a great tie in episode to TNG, and I absolutely loved the clip at the end where they had the 3 captains give the TOS/TNG opening credit speech, I thought that was fantastic.
And can anyone possibly disagree that the visuals of the Enterprise-D in that episode were amazing?
I totally agree. It was like coming home. Felt almost 17 again. LOLOL. Scary thought. And that's exactly how I looked at the ep. It wasn't just the end of Enterprise but the end of an era and it was only fitting to have some of the char's that started it be in the finale. I do have one other complaint, I wish they would have kept in Archer reading his speach before the assembly, then ended it with the captain's monologue. That would have been the perfect ending to a wonderful story and era.
I wish I lived in America. You guys get everything ahead of us
I DID NOT like the Series Finale!
These Are The Voyages was a shameless ploy to bring in Sirits and Frakes, even thought they look NOTHING like they used too, and form the story around them. I was SO p####d, I almost couldn't finish watching it.

I also REALLY wanted to hear his speech, but NO, we have to watch the ships named Enterprise go by, and cry our butts off.
