My favorite two part episode is the one where they take on the Borg. Jean-Luc becomes Locutus. This episode was pivotal in the whole Star Trek Universe.
Reason why I am posting is because two parts are kind of like watching a movie.
I wondered what happened, thanks.
Actuly, it was Best of Both worlds I&II, but I did like Family right after that ch

I know it was BOBW I and 2. My point is that the topic said 3 parters count, and there were no 3 parters in TNG, unless you go based on the new standard introduced in Enterprise of giving different titles to the episodes of 3 parters, in which case because it directly feeds off of BOBW, Family fits in as a 3 parter. It is kind of the... closing act as it were.
The Enterprise is being repaired from the damage of BOBW, and Captain Picard is trying to recover from the emotional damage caused by being
ok,i got it, I didn't realize that, Good one.
Yeah those three eps would kind of be considered a story arc. And they were very well done.
Yes, very well.
So then it is a three per????
I'm just as ??? as you are
I'm as spacy as the next guy. LOLOL
I have no cue what ??? means.
It means "huh" and the sign is "???"
By the way, The only multi-part episode i've seen is the gambit.
Please use the modify button, makes it a lot easier to read. And yes, gambit was good... sortof.
Gambit was one of my favorites, thats right, but Chain of Command, I really do not like to see people tourchered, the best part of that one was "THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS"...
Whats that from?
DUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
I liked that two parter. It really sucked me in. And what Picard went through. It could be comparable to what the Borg did to him except that he was able to fight back against the Cardassians unlike the Borg.
yes, I do understand that, and I sappose one would have to watch all of it to enjoy the end.
Is THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS code?
I like no startrek i instad play ourwar 24/7
GET A LFE YOU SAD NERDS WHY NOT TURN OFF THE COMPUTOR AND SEE THE OUT SIDE WORLD

Why is what we do so imporant to you? I mean why come here and shout at us as if we have no lives, when your idea of having a life is to go to bullitin boards that you claim are nerdy and shout at people on them that they are nerds just for being here. What does that make you if you are here as well.
I agree totally on that
Why come here to shout
I mean... people who don't
like startrek, etc.
They don't know that we
DO have lives... other
than having a genre that
we really like.
Where did that come from? Who did that? That was kind of rude. Especially from someone I don't think is a member of the lists. Or am I wrong and that person is?
I also think that is very rude, but it takes all kinds of ah (people) to make up this world, and that is the first time I've seen it here on this site... I'm sure if it continues, Mr Veldman will do something about it.
He can't do a thing to them, they're visitors (and is THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS code)
I didn' mean do any thing to them !!! He is the webmaster here and He controls all of it.

There are four lights is a reference to an episode we've discussed several times in this thread, the one where Picard was being tortured and the torturers were trying to get him to say there were a different number of lights but 4, trying to break his will.
[quote author=Kent Taylor link=1104381872/30#42 date=1106354306] Thank you, Adm Victor, Sir. that tells it all,
"Theraaaaa Arrrrr FOOURRRR Lights!"
"Chain of Command, Part I & II"

I was in too much of a hurry to look up the details, I figured explaining the reference would be enough for me and then someone else would go through the trouble of remembering the name of the episode
Well I take that on myself cause thats what I do, Your Chief Science Officer at work...
I've seen that Star Trek.com is having problems so sometimes we can't get through, so if this is happening to you it's because of Star Trek.com...
That would also be, "Wrath of Kahn", "In Search of Spock", and ending with "The Voyage Home"...
The Episode where Picard became Locutus is by far my favourite episode. It's so entralling, even though you know that Jean-Luc wasn't going to die, or stay asssimilated.
It is called the Best of both worlds. I never saw it, but the previews look good
My favourite two part episodes were: Times Arrow, Best of Both Worlds, All Good Things & Gambit. My all time favourite is Times Arrow.
Virginia,
'Chain of Command" I didn't like it at first but it really is a good one. IMO
My favorite is "Year of Hell".
Find it here,

We should make a site wide poll about likes of episodes, characters, series, actors, ect. See what the general population likes.
That's REALLY a good Idea, How should we start it?
Subspace message all the memebers. Shouldn't be too hard, get 'em to message a new department back.
My faves were "Encounter at Farpoint", "BoBW" and "All Good Things..."
Encounter at Farpoint was pretty good.
VERY good, you mean.
Extremely Good
Logical. BTW, how is your office redecoration going?

But then wouldn't everyone post there stuff there instead of the original thread, IMO.....
I agree. I like posting in the forums. Much more funner.
I luv posting in forums
I know. More enjoyable.

Hooray for forums!
Hooray for the Waratahs
Nope, don't know them.

I was wondering what that name ment also?
It sounds like a Native American name.
Bangs Head on table: Its an Australian flower native to NSW.
Oh. GTG, CYA!

Bless you. You sneezed, right?
I believe it was a long string of words
Oh. I thought it was an almighty sneeze.
Those are sssssssooooooooooo easy to confuse
Yes, indeed they are.
Kinda, Sorta, Not really, but kinda
I concur.
As Always
Indeed
wtf
Back on topic. All good things Was great
Yewah that was sucha cool ep. Evern thought it ended TNG
All good things...., you just have to love the 3 nacelled Enerprise. It was so awesome looking and the super phaser shooting through the Warbird made me awe struck. I wish TNG was aired more often than once a day.
Then or now, cause if you mean now, It airs Three times a day except on weekends
on Spike T.V.
I didnt remember a super phaser, I just remember The Klingons Being torn to bits
yah it is aired 3 times a day now with 2 episodes of DS9 on before it.
4 words: Triple Nacelle Galaxy class
Definitely. It was also the first time you saw a main character change sides. Though very unwillingly. You felt bad for Picard and wanted to reach out and help him. But at the same time as Locutus it sent a shiver down your spine. I think "The Best Of Both Worlds" in it's entirety is the best scripted, best directed, best edited and best acted episode of Star Trek ever made. Just my opinion of course.
I still have to say "All good things..." is my fav. episode and it's a two part so it counts. It just shows all the characters at it's best.
That was a great one too. I think that ep just showcased Q and Picard more then the others. But it was still a really good one.
Athena, what your fav?
I'm probably going to be shot for this, but I think my favorite TNG 2 parter was Time's Arrow. For those of you that don't remember, that was the one where Data lost his head back in the 19th century. The episode that showed where Picard and Guinan "really" first met. The episode that established just how old Guinan was. I thought the episode was great. It had a tremendous cliffhanger, what with Data vanishing into the past and then "To be continued..."
Star Trek really was always great about cliffhangers. They really kept you hungry for the conclusion of the cliffhanger. This one effected me the most strongly of all the cliffhangers. Why didn't BOBW effect me as strongly? Well because I caught BOBW on a rerun and so it was only a 1 day cliffhanger for me. I remember seeing Time's Arrow and then wondering all summer how it would be resolved.
Just my 2cents
Incidentially... When was there ever a Three Parter in TNG?
these are the two part cliffhangers I found, I do believe it is all of them,
Encounter at Farpoint, Part I
Encounter at Farpoint, Part II
The Best of Both Worlds, Part I
The Best of Both Worlds, Part II
Redemption, Part I
Redemption, Part II
Unification, Part I
Unification, Part II
Time's Arrow, Part I
Time's Arrow, Part II
Chain of Command, Part I
Chain of Command, Part II
Birthright, Part I
Birthright, Part II
Descent, Part I
Descent, Part II
Gambit, Part I
Gambit, Part II
All Good Things... Part I
All Good Things... Part II
I could not find any three parter.
One I could say was bad was "Chain of Command" Those episodes were terrible.
I thought so too, I liked "Gambit" myself, well all of them were good with the exception of "Chain of Command".
In my opinion.
PErsonally I rather liked Chain of Command. Mostly cause of the detail of taking Livingston out of Picard's RR. That was great the way Riker's reaction was covered.
To me all two parters were cliffhangers, we had to wait a week to see the next part, and there is no ReUnification, but there is Unification.
Incidentially my question is still pointed. The forum topic asks for favorite two part episodes (three parts count), but there were no 3 parters in TNG. In fact has there ever REALLY been a 3 parter?
We have them now with Enterprise, but they no longer name them Part I, Part II, Part III, but rather with different titles for each part.
If you go in those respects, I suppose TNG did have a 3 parter if you lump Family in with BOBW. Family was one of my favorite episodes of all time, and... for that matter, happens to be the first episode of Star Trek I ever saw.
I just didn't like the fact that Picard was replaced. That just made me twinge.

Yes, you are right, and it was mentioned in the previous post and I realized my misread, so I deleted my post.
