On TNG he always acted diffrent to her than any one else.
of course he likes her lol they went out before she was assigned to the enterprise, around the time he was on the potemkin(i think) and he left and there she was by herself. and to prove that he liked her, they got married(finally) in Nemesis! ;)

they are a very lovely couple, i think the most lovely i could manage on TNG with riker...
