Hi folks,
I've put some details on my bio page. But just thought I'd do a quick intro here.
My name is Rockape (my real name is John). I'm from the UK and work as a Computer Network Engineer. I have been a Sci-Fi fan ever since I can remember. I started out watching Dr Who, worked up to Startrek the Original Series, then to Blakes Seven (anyone else remember that). And basically haven't stopped since.
I'm lucky to work with Trek and Starwars Fans in my team at work, so, I don't have to hide my love of Sci-Fi.
I've been looking around this site, and transferred from Holodeck3. This Starbase looks like great fun, and I look forward to serving with everyone on board.
My name is Deke Bristo, really David, and i am 14 years old.
I just started high school(yippee:( ) I speak spanish, love to build things out of legos(little kiddish, i know) I am also part of Adam's mirror universe site(really cool-check it out here http://s13.invisionfree.com/Star_Trek_Mirrors/)

[quote author=Rockape link=1156581107/0#8 date=1158281544]Captain,
Nice to see you back on board Sir.
We have been trying to keep the younger members of the Crew under control, and I think we are doing quite well. Perhaps a getting to know you evening (or two, to allow for shift patterns) would allow everyone to get to know each other better. It would also allow you as Station Commander to introduce yourself to the newer members of the crew. Just a thought.
Hope all is going well in the "real world".
Thanks
Rockape
You can all do it right, HERE!
Erm, Kent? you kinda linked back to this thread?
That's the idea, so everyone can read from the begining and then add who they are.
Very cool, Ill do that when i have chance,
Its not easy being the new lieutenant 8-)
Well I see Congradulations are in order
Hi, my name is Judy.
I live by myself.
I jump on here when I visit my mom (no internet at my place).
TNG is my crew; I literally grew up with them.

Data has the best Death Glare ever!
I work in pizza delivery, but will be getting a second job soon. And yes, I do make quite a bit of money doing it.
I plan on going back to college (major: computer programming/mathematics) in the Spring.
I believe Star Trek is a self-fufilling prophecy. IT WILL HAPPEN! ;D
I'm 23, born: Nov. 10
I don't say a whole lot....makes it difficult for me to post. :-[
I don't say a whole lot, but when I do, it is meaningful. One of my former co-workers said that about me.
My LJ: http://nightblade.livejournal.com/ It is friends only, so PM me here if you want me to add you.
I'm an introvert.
I've been around computers/machines all of my life. Don't care for people a whole lot. I just don't feel comfortable around them.
Um....I've run aout of things to say.

A Viet Nam Vet. I once had the honour and pleasure of serving with a Canadian who had flown in Nam, and other conflicts. He started out in the Canadian Air Force, and worked his way upto flying (combat) instructor. He got bored with that, so joined USAF, flew in 'Nam and other conflicts, worked his way upto Flying (combat) instructor, got bored with that and joined the RAF. When I worked with him, he had previously been the display pilot for the Jaguar aircraft, and could make that plane do things even the manufacturers said it couldn't do.
He looked like a typical English Gentleman with a big handlebar moustache. He was the nicest person I have ever met in my life, and was every bit a Gentleman. Even though he outranked me by quite a bit, he would always say please and thankyou, and if he wanted something doing would always ask for it to be done "when I had time". I have been out of the Service for over 10 years now. But some of my fondest memories are of serving with that man.
James,
We were doing well until you mentioned Yeuch Marmite :'( can't abide the stuff it physically makes me ill.
Do you really have a phaser? I saw a new generation one QVC years ago that had a laser pointer built in. Unfortunately, at the time money was short and I never bought it. I've never seen one since (much to my regret).
What's Yeuch Marmite. :-?
Sir, 'tis only an old phaser, bought in '92 I think. It makes two noises (Stun and Disintegrate). Only cost about £12. I would have loved either a TNG laserpen phaser, and a real tricorder for that matter, but both were out of my budget. Even one of these replicas from modern time are still too pricey, although I am continually tempted to but a cobra or cricket from later movies.
Captain, you have never lived until you have tried marmite. It goes great on soldiers to dip in your boiled egg. It's a bit like vegemite. Yeast extract I believe that has a, erm, marmitey taste.
I had the pharser pen but my little sister broke (*&%$#*$%)
ooohhh weeellll

HI
In real life ...
I am 21 and I am a E.M.T. and am about to graduate a j.c. with my two year a.s. and fire science degrees. I am a volunteer fire fighter as well. I am actually a squad leader and third in comand of the 22 volunteers for my dept. There is a fully staffed and paid dept but we have 22 volunteers on top of that. I am going to save money to go to paramedic school in a year. I do live in California, it is the bombest place in the world. for those of u that don't know...bomb, hyphy, sick, awesome, ill, kewl, phat, tight all equals cool...
haha
I work at a prestigious hotel as a bell and valet. it pays good and will hopefully get me my first appt and through paramedic school.
I haven't been around the world too much and only been to like 5 of the states. i have been in cali my whole life.
I am a big comic fan x-men, star wars, star trek, basicly all marvel and then superman and batman too but i don't really life dc too much. because of job and school and relationships and parties and things i haven't read too much comics lately. I have got a hold of every episode of enterprise, the animated serious and tos of st, all the ng and ds9 and voyager episodes and am in the proccess of watching every episode chronologicly...haha seriously...
i have never been in a fan group or fan page or rpg online or with anyone before but i like the star trek games as well and watched the next generation and voyager and ds9 growing up so i have been a fan. I never liked trek till third grade when one of my friends got me into it, but he was the only person that ever liked it, he moved away and watching trek made me feel like he was still around so i guess it has a special place for me in that way too. I am going to try and get him into this site if possible i made contact with him in the last few years...yes i thought of that sentence as i typed it...
I also am a alright cook and am learning how to make a lot more, all the firefighters are pretty great chefs so i need to get going in that department....
outside of my comics , books and video games and computers...i always stayed pretty active. I played highschool football three years and b ball four years and track 2. I am going to be coaching some football next year as well.
I have a big group of friends but none of them are really into the comics and star wars or star trek like i am so i party with them or go out and do regular thigns, but i am very exited to be a part of this site and want to get involved.
anyone that wants to say hi give a holler.

Greetings Crewman, and welcome to the site.
I see you've already made eleven posts, can't remember when a new recruit posted so much in the first go. May you return and post loads more. Maybe you'll overtake Kent at some point. ;D
If you have any questions, you can find many senior officers in Q'Roys or Rex's bar where we go to relax after long long shifts.
Alright, sounds great, I think I'll head over there now. Anyone else coming?
The only way you could get there quicker than me is by transporter. ;D
[quote author=J A Kynes link=1082466627/60#66 date=1174430536]The only way you could get there quicker than me is by transporter.  ;D
Mr Kynes, I've warned you about site to site transports on ship before
Mr. Rocktape...I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you..you're welcome to join us at the bar as well, unless you're too busy with ur duties?
You're wierd Amy. Happy now? Well my name is Adam, I'm going to be driving soon. My life has been devoted to acting, mostly acting up. I am worship star trek. I don't do anything that doesn't involve pointed ears. I love to write fan fiction and in fact just wrote my Own version of the Star Base 49 first season. (10 episodes) I love it when I get to use the character Talis and Ko'Lorth cause the just don't go together, and it's a halirious turnout. I have now turned my sights to reading every single episode on a ST TNG Encyclopidia in script form to get a backround. As an ending note I would just like to say, "Live long and Prosper"
You are very dedicated Adam. It is a smart idea to read the scripts, it will help get rid of all those little quibbles, e.g. 'which season did this happen in?' I bet you'll enjoy doing it anyway!
I had my interview for fine Art today. Fingers crossed I will get in.
As we're introducing ourselves I'd like to add my bio:

Hello Kent. Great to have you here on the Forum. I'm the Cove Greater (sorry, you won't understand that joke unless you play Obsidion and you probably don't). Anyway, saying glad to have you here, and God Bless ya, America and erm... everywhere else that ain't America (though I'll admit America probably is in need of a whole loada blessing right now).
Yes, I can see were God Bless America would be inappropriate here. it's a saying I have but I never intended to leave any other country out, it was just the thing to say-- So God Bless All.....
Your right Kent. We all need it. We seem to be in some sort of warrior funk, and it's taring this world apart. So I raise a glass to you. Thanks.
Well, here it goes.
My name is Beth and I live in Pennsylvania. I have 5 kids and have loved just about all Sci Fi as long as I can remember. It was inspired by my dad cause of his love for it. Star Trek and Star Wars are my faves but I also liked V and Alien Nation. As well SG1 and some others.

That's about it, I think.
My name is Steven and I'm 15. I'm probably the biggest Star Trek fan within 50 mi. of where I live, which is in Dealware. I'm currrently a student in high school and expecting some fum with this site. ;D ???
