Captain,
I wonder if it's time we had a "clear out" of some of the old/dead!! posts. I sure some of our wonderful Computer Engineers could sort something out, and trim down the size of things a little bit. I look at some of the post, and I don't think there has been any activity on them for quite a while. So, like "MIA" crewmenbers, couldn't me do something with the posts/topics?
Just a thought

i am try to be on every day
Roy once told me he doesn't like to delete posts unless the are spam. But he does lock them when they are dead or making no sense.

Sounds like a good idea,
How about creating a "data archive" section in the computer core, and moving some of the locked files there. It would mean there is less to look at in the active section, and probably won't be so "daunting". Just a thought.
The ones that are locked, we can't post in. But I do like reading the old ones sometimes and if they are good you can post your own thoughts.
Fair enough Captain.

Where is everyone???" :-?
I think everyone is hiding ;D
I've been on a few times recently, and not seen anyone :(
I think Captain, you should think of something that will get everyone active at least until the Hub (or whatever) is active.
Cheers
Lt (JG) Rockape
I check in everyday to read the new posts but the site has been a bit on the quiet side lately. No worries. It'll pick up.

Maam,
Perhaps a get together on the Holodeck, or in 10 forward might get some people together. We haven't had a get togther on the Holodeck for ages !!
Thanks
Lt (JG) Rockape
I feel the same way sir, theres never anyone to talk to when i am on and it takes other members ages to reply to a new topic or an old one?? i hope things will change.
I think we should have a big massive get together and have a training mission or a party??!?
Mr Campbell,
Definately a party I think 8-)
Ooh, ooh, we could have that Celidh we've been putting off for so long. :)
[quote author=J A Kynes link=1156102932/15#18 date=1170211994]Ooh, ooh, we could have that Celidh we've been putting off for so long.   :)
That ship that is arriving soon with our Whisky, does it by any chance have female crew members? That would make the ceilidh even better don't you think? Might be worth finding out
We could combine the two and create a training mission party!
Mission: Find the keg before the others do!
lollol, sorry, I couldn't resist. haha
Sort like the Capture the Flag games we played at the Academy, but with keg or crate substituted for the flag. I like that thinking sir. And Mr Rockape, I do believe that the vessel carrying our whisky has an above average compliment of lassies. I once met her Chief Engineer, a Lieutenent Tkorr, an Andorian lass, at a conference on Advanced Subspace Propulsion on Alpha Centauri. At the required bar session after, from what I recall, she's a bit of a dancer.
Well, I feel a hooley coming on!
Just for the record though, you'll have to run damn fast if you want to beat the Scots Crewmembers to anything that resembles real Alcohol ;D
I think I need to find my Kilt etc.
I have an item stored in my quarters, I believe it used to be called a 'See you, Jimmy!' bunnet. I believe it may make an appearance at this 'Shindig'.
The pefect party, Whisky to the officers then Whiskey to the rest then scots siging "o' flower of SCOTLAND" and then a major riot to the nearest shop that sells "see you juimmy " hats
Yes |I like it an its gonna be grrrrrrrrrrreat
Oh Dear,
I think I might need to put my "Big Glasgow Police" security teams on duty that night ;)
For those who don't understand. When I was younger and used to visit Glasgow quite a lot to see other members of my family. There was one very well know fact in Glasgow. You Never, Ever, argued with the Police. Unlike today were all they can do is tell you not to do something. In those days, they would give you a "thump" and send you home (if you were lucky). If not, they would arrest you, then take you home the next day, where you would get a thump from your parents for getting arrested in the first place. So, the lesson learnt very quickly was, Do what the Police tell you.

DRINK the keg before the others do. Now THAT'S a challange...
It's only 88 pints...
All I want to know. is anyone ever on?

Im on quite frequently. I pop on, read posts, and if there worth replying to, they get a reply. Its really not that hard a question to answer.
Myself can often be found hiding in the background, depending on shift patterns. Most likely to be at about 0200 GMT.

Same here, almost. I don't sleep a great deal, so will pop on in the early hours and have a look around. Like other, if there is anything "interesting", I'll reply

Looks like you can post. Unless you mean send a Subspace Message.
This may be redundant, but I'll explain posting for anyone else who is having trouble.
1. Find a forum and click on it, then find a thread (threads will be labeled as "Subject").
2. Just above the first post, on the right, are some icons:
Reply Add to My Favorites Send Topic Print Mark as Unread
3. Click "Reply" (it has an icon: folder with a green arrow pointing down, next to it)
4. Type your message in the big text box and then click, "Post" (below the text box).
To quote someone, look at the top right corner of their post. You will see a yellow icon and the word "quote." Click it, type your reply and then click, "post". (same location, below the text box)
To edit your post, click "modify." This is located next to the Quote button. This is only for your posts. After clicking modify, you edit your post, then click "save" (again, below the text box).
To send a PM, click "Subspace Message" (the button next to "logout").
If you look below the Search and Crew Manifest buttons, you will see a menu:
Inbox Outbox Storage Send message Mark as read PM preferences
Click Send Message (should be directly under Crew Manifest).
You will need to know the user name of the person you are sending the message to.
When you are done, click "Send Message." (below the text box)
lol you know what you are doing!!! dont you???
I hope so too !!?!
I used to work in tech support for a DSL company. :)
